Modify the HTTP port | Applications | IIS 3.x |

To change the HTTP port used by IIS (only affects the default port)

Warning, as always use the registry editor at your own risk. DO NOT try this if you unless you have experience working with the registry editor.

Use the registry editor Regedt32.exe

go to the key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
\System
..\CurrentControlSet
......\Control
.........\ServiceProvider
............\ServiceTypes
...............\W3SVC

click W3DVC then double click the TcpPort entry on the right side of the screen
The DWORD Editor box now appears
Click on Decimal and enter the port in the Data box
then click OK and close the Registry Editor

Finally you need to stop and restart the WWW service
