Netscape 3.x is an internet web browser. Version 3.x was made obsolete by version 4.0 sometime before 1997.

  First the warning. In order to make the change you need to edit the registry so, if you don't feel comfortable, or don't make a copy of the registry before trying this don't do it, its always dangerous to edit the registry manually. This is a "Use at your own risk" method.
  The URLs are stored is in the windows registry. The key is at HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Netscape/Netscape Navigator/URL History/ {there is one key for every entry listed on the Location bar.
  
  Edit the registry (using regedit.exe), find the URL History key, and to the right of the screen you will find each entry listed on a line by itself. Right click on the entry and select Delete. Then select Registry Exit from the menu bar to finish the operation (which will save and close the registry. The changes should take effect immediately. Note if you press the x on the top right corner of the registry window the changes will NOT take place.

Problems

• The version 4.05 has a problem in triggering FrontPage counters, possibly others.
