A successfull implementation requires configuration of both the PC LAN and the mainframe SNA systems. The PC server and the SNA mainframe will have to be rebooted for the operation to be completed.
SNA Server is installed on a Windows NT Server.
SNA Server can be deployed in three different models
1) Central Deployment
2) Branch Deployment
3) Distributed Employment
A sub-domain contains a grouping of up to 15 computers taht share a single SNA server configuration file.
The SNA server can be installed as a "Primary", "Backup", or "Member" SNA server. ( Not related to the PDC and BDC), and does not have to reside on the PDC or BDC computer.
Platform : Windows NT Server.4.0 or later
Hard Drive : 50MB Mininum
RAM : better get 128MB
IIS and MTS 2.0 must be installed if you plan to use COMTI for IBM CICS and IMS access.
