This function is available on Outlook Express Versions 5.01 and later.
When this function is enabled and the person receiving the email has a
compatible mail reader, you will receive a return email message telling you
the other person has read your email.
To enable the "Request a Read Receipt" function.
- Open Outlook Express
- Click on Tools
- Choose Options
- Click on the "Receipts tab"
- Put a check in the box that reads; "Request a read receipt for all sent messages"
- Click the OK button to close the window
- Close Outlook Express and restart the computer.
