( Note : To download drivers follow the "support" link above, next to the model number. If there is no support link then you can use the ..."Atlas Peripherals Modems" page to download drivers. The Newcom and Atlas modems are the same products )

We will add the individual modem support page links on this page in the next few days, time permitting ...

Generic Q&A about Newcom Modems -

Q: What is the general or basic initialization string to use on my Atlas/Newcom Modem?

A: AT&FE1V1L1&C1&D2S0=0S7=45 ( this one basically works with any Atlas )

Q: How do I enable a viewing feature to show what protocol my Modem is using?

A: Add a W1 to the string as: AT&FE1V1L1W1&C1&D2S0=0S7=45 (when it connects to the remote side it will now show the protocol being used).

Q: What AT Command is to enable data compression and MNP 5?

A: Add the following to your string as: \N4 ie: AT&FE1L1V1W1\N4&C1&D2S0=0S7=45

Q: How do I disable Data Compression?

A: Use the %C0, and remove the \N4 Command.

Q: I tried the above and it doesn't help?

A: If your unable to connect, then you should investigate what type of modem, or AT Commands are required by the remote side! , try calling the source, before you try changing to many strings. or refer to the user's manual or download the text file for your modem
