CompactFlash -
Introduced in October, 1994, is a computer expansion, removable storage memory card from the PCMCIA product family. It weighs a half ounce and is the size of a matchbook.
CompactFlash is a Flash Memory device.
FlashCard from SanDisk Corp.It provides complete PC Card-ATA functionality and compatibility. It uses a 50-pin CF card which can be easily slipped into a passive 68 pin Type II adapter card that fully meets PC Card electrical and mechanical interface specifications.
A CompactFlash Card Adapter is available which allows CompactFlash Cards to be used with PCMCIA Type II Card slots.

CompactFlash, is available in sizes ranging from 4MB to 96MB capacities and can be found in the "CompactFlash Cards" page.
It is widely used in digital cameras for storing pictures as digital film.
The CompactFlash Association (CFA), is an organization that supports the CF storage specification.
CompactFlash Type II -
CompactFlash removable memory cards. They are like the standard CompactFlash but thicker (5.0mm) and capable of storing higher capacities than standard CompactFlash or SmartMedia cards. Equivalent to 2 standard CompactFlash Cards.
