General Information - 

EZ-Drive is a disk formatting utility program that is used to format new hard drives. It was used by western digital hard drives. In late 1999 it has been replaced by the "Data Lifeguard Tools" utility.

Maxtor driver also used this product under the name of "MaxBlast" which can be downloaded from the Maxtor site.

The product was originally made by Micro-House then was taken over by StorageSoft in 1999, which was acquired by Phoenix Technologies in 2001..
