Ink | Tech Info Home Page |
Inks are used by Inkjet Printers to make the printed output on the paper.
There are 2 types of inks, permanent and non-permanent.
The permanent types are made with pigments. One example is the ink used by the HP DesignJet printers. These inks take a long time to fade.
The non-permanent types are made from dyes and are more susceptible to fading.
Laser Printers do not use inks, they use a toner. It is very permanent.
