General Information -

Jaz drives are made by Iomega and are similar to a hard drive with the exception that they can be removed. Once properly installed the computer sees the drive as just another drive on the computer. All programs that run on a regular hard drive will run on a Jaz drive as well.

The drive comes in an external model which has its own power adapter and an internal model that connects to the computers power supply. Both models are SCSI devices and require that you install a SCSI adapter.

The external model does run a bit hot since there is no built-in fan.

A 1gb cartridge is provided with the drive and has the software you need to make the drive work. A SCSI card Check with iomega to see if a SCSI card is included with the purchase of a drive.

The drive will work with almost all SCSI cards including the Adaptec and SIIG cards.
