General Information

Windows uses as much memory as is on the computer. Additionally, much like the Older DOS, it still uses the first 640K conventional memory area. This means that if Windows is not configured properly, and the conventional memory runs low due to many installed drivers it can malfunction.

Problems with Memory....

• Not all installed RAM is seen by Windows - see Microsoft KB article Q146912 (122).
  When you view the Performance tab in System properties, the amount of memory reported may differ from the actual amount of memory installed in the computer.
