Symantec Issue 1998122210321200 - This issue can come up due to an incompatibility between Internet Explorer 5 and the Apitrap.dll file that is installed by Symantec's Norton CleanSweep version 4 program. This program might also be incorporated with Symantec's SystemWorks program

Solution for CleanSweep problem.

Solution #1) download a new version of the file

a) Download the apitrap.dll file from the Symantec site, and on the "SaveAs" Window browse to the desktop folder and save the file there..
b) follow the directions which tell you to...
b1) reboot the computer in MS-DOS mode (Choose Restart in MS-DOS Mode, then click Yes)
b2) At the DOS prompt, type:
CD\WINDOWS\DESKTOP
then press Enter
b3) At the new prompt, type:
COPY APITRAP.DLL C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
and press enter.
