General Information - 

WINVER is a Windows command. 

It is executed by clicking the Start button, selecting Run and entering WINVER in the text box and clicking the OK button.

Information reported by Winver...

• Version of Windows
• Build Number
• Name of licensee
• Physical Memory
• Evaluation Copy Expiration date (if applicable)
• service pack version number

A window will appear showing the information discussed above. 

Note : This same dialog box can be reached by clicking the Help menu and then click About in Windows Explorer.
